Junior Learn to Row Documents

The following documents are required for your Junior rower to fully participate in the program at the Pensacola Rowing Club.

USRowing Membership for the Junior *

North American Rowing Association Waiver (Fall 2026)

Swim Test Document *

PRC Media Waiver *

Picture of Rower (such as one for an ID Card)

School Registration with Grade Level (Fall 2026)

Proof of Age (i.e. birth certificate)

FSRA Lightweight Waiver (Fall 2026)

FSHAA Physical form (Fall 2026)

*Required to row at the club. Please submit all forms as soon as possible to be fully cleared for the season.

Ages for Participation

The Pensacola Rowing Club’s Junior program is for middle and high school athletes who want to learn the sport and compete.

Our competitive programs are for middle school (6th grade and 12 years of age) and high school.


Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What forms are required before my athlete can get on the water or field? 

A: Every athlete must have a completed USRowing MembershipSwim Testand PRC waiver on file to participate in land or water practices.

Q: Where do I complete the USRowing waiver? 

A: You must register directly on the USRowing Member Portal. Once logged in, join and link our club (Team code PVGXL), pay the required annual membership fee, and sign the online liability waiver. Submit your athlete's member ID to the Crossbar portal.

Q: Is a swim test required for rowing? 

A: Yes. All rowers and coxswains must pass a standard Swim & Tread Water Test administered by a certified lifeguard. The signed swim test verification form must be uploaded to the registration portal.

Q: When are all forms due? 

A: All documents must be fully submitted and approved by September 15. Athletes with missing or expired forms will not be permitted to join land conditioning or launch on the water.
