Introduction
Pensacola Rowing Club
The Club
Pensacola Rowing Club is a not-for-profit 501(c)3. The only rowing club in the 400 mile span from Tallahassee to New Orleans is Pensacola Rowing Club (PRC). PRC offers access to rowing for northwest Florida and the surrounding community. We partner with Pensacola Parks and Recreation to provide the community with access and training in the sport of rowing. A key focus of the club is support to the entire community, and the area youth in particular. The club also has developing programs for veterans and support to the military community.
PRC Mission Statement
We are a member-driven organization existing to help our community to experience and excel through the sport of rowing. Our goal is to develop the qualities of teamwork, integrity, leadership, and self-discipline in people of all backgrounds while instilling a lifelong love for rowing.
PRC Juniors Program
The juniors program is a core element of the club.
PRC Juniors develops foundational personal attributes crucial for winning in sport, school, and life.
We compete at the district, state, and national championship regattas under Florida Scholastic Rowing Association (FSRA) and Scholastic Rowing Association of America (SRAA), as well at the regional and national level under USRowing.
Rowing is physically demanding, highly technical, and requires self discipline. The best school in the country have varsity rowing teams. Schools from the Ivy League, Big10, SEC, ACC, and independents such as Notre Dame have NCAA rowing teams.
